Plustek is maintaining and using (Data Processing) your name, address, and other personal data (Personal Information) for the purposes described below. Please be informed that Plustek may also store the history of your procurement of Plustek products and services (Personal History). 1. Statement of Intent
In order to access the services we provide and to provide us with feedback, you will be asked to submit personal information about yourself (e.g. name, address, and telephone number). The services provided include license application, environmental information, provision of feedback and consultations.

By entering your details Plustek will be able to provide you with the services you select. Whenever you provide personal information, we undertake to treat that information in accordance with this policy.

When you supply personal information to Plustek we have legal obligations towards you in the way we deal with that information. We have to process information within the framework of our statutory duties and powers and in addition we have to collect the information fairly. Your Personal Data and Personal History will be used by Plustek for the following purposes of Data Processing:

Because of the purposes described above, your Personal Information and Personal History may be internally shared within Plustek, Plustek Inc. in Taiwan and its subsidiaries (Plustek Group Companies). Please understand that there may be certain services that cannot be used without providing your Personal Information. We may disclose personal data to our consultants, agents and representatives to do these things on our behalf.

Personal Information that we are required to put on our public registers may be licensed for re-use to 3rd parties. Without your consent the Plustek Group Companies will not disclose the Personal Information and Personal History to any 3rd party, except for the following cases:

For the performance of a service or a contract you are party to or for serving the purposes described in Paragraph 1 above (in case the third party is acting on behalf of the Plustek Group Companies, the Plustek Group Companies will ensure that it will comply with the Plustek Privacy Policy); or

For compliance with a legal obligation to which the Plustek Group Companies are subject, or for the purposes of the interests pursued by the Plustek Group Companies as provided by law.

Please note that anonymous data from which you cannot be identified are always excluded from the restriction described in this Policy.

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information Plustek holds about you and to have any inaccuracies in that personal information corrected. Please address requests to the Customer Service Center or use the online enquiry form.

6. Contacts and Direct marketing
Should you wish to confirm the Personal Information and Personal History, Plustek will provide you with your Personal Information and Personal History stored. When there are errors in or changes to your Personal Information, Plustek will correct inaccurate or outdated information in accordance to your request. We share the general concern over the safety and security of Personal Information on the Internet and have implemented procedures to promote the safety and security of information we collect online. We have implemented industry standard controls to try to ensure confidentiality; however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We cannot therefore guarantee that Personal Information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.
